“The ultimate antidepressant; go back in time and resolve conflict, erase trauma, and remove depression from your life forever. Take one tablet by mouth every 24 hours or as necessary.”

Lavida” is a short film that dives into the emotional landscape of mental health, a transformative journey of self-reflection, and highlights the therapeutic nature of reconnecting with one's younger self, all through the unexpected side effects of an antidepressant medication.

Struggling with the complexities of her own mental health, she experiences a surreal phenomenon—she finds herself in a dream world that serves as a conduit to her past. In this world, she discovers the ability to revisit a pivotal moment in her life, offering a unique opportunity to engage in a heartfelt conversation with her younger self. The antidepressant, with its unforeseen time-traveling effects, becomes a powerful tool for her to rewrite the script of her own history, unraveling the layers of past traumas that have shaped her present.
